About

6

I am an ambivalent Southerner, born to Church-o-Christ trailer people in North Alabama at the crack of the 1980s. For lack of a better description, I refer to my religious inclinations as High Church Stone-Campbell Mennonite, with a wink at the contradictions such a descriptive contains. Acknowledging contradiction is a nod to honesty. My only boast is, “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.”

Aside from these basics, perhaps the best way to get to know me online is from some of my more prominent posts. I suspect that from these you should be able to see where I line up, though I admit that I tend to draw some of my lines in chalk.

because nobody knows..oh that doesn’t make sense because if nobody knew how would I we know what it was that nobody knew…?

Jeremy, before getting ready for work this morning I wanted to find a short, thought provoking quote for my facebook page. Your description of yourself in your ‘about’ section had a lot of rich material in it, so I stopped by to find something I could poach (giving attribution, of course). The first thing I noticed is that you changed the format. So looking for the large ‘about’ paragraph got me scrolling through the last couple of years of your posts. !!!!! Well, the result of that is that I will now be spending some time most days rummaging around in your thoughts as they appear here on Slouching Towards Emmaus. I hope you don’t mind it some of your posts show up on FB. Grace & Peace
